What is the bench fee?

  • A bench fee is a mandatory fee, in addition to tuition fees. Full-time non-local self-financed Research Postgraduate students could be liable to pay for the bench fee.
  • The bench fee for 2024-25 and 2025-26 is HK$150,000, and is subject to annual review by the University.
  • Applicants who are required to pay bench fees upon admission would be informed in advance, and relevant information would also be stated in the admission offer letter in the Online Admission System.
