What is the bench fee?

  • A bench fee is a mandatory fee, in addition to tuition fees. Full-time non-local self-financed Research Postgraduate students could be liable to pay for the bench fee.
  • The bench fee for 2024-25 and 2025-26 is HK$150,000, and is subject to annual review by the University.
  • Applicants who are required to pay bench fees upon admission would be informed in advance, and relevant information would also be stated in the admission offer letter in the Online Admission System. Upon acceptance of the admission offer, the applicant also agrees to pay the bench fee for the entire study period according to the prevailing policy and acknowledges that this status will remain unchanged during the study period of the program.
