HKUST is absolutely the best choice for students who have academic ambitions. The professors here, all of whom received their degrees from top institutions, are really good at motivating their students. They are also very approachable; you can always develop new ideas together with them.

HKUST is a world-class university where research and teaching excellence are both promoted and rewarded. The education, academic excellence, and the close student-faculty ties of HKUST have given me a depth and maturity that will enable me to further pursue my career. I hope that my research and scholarship, developed in the vibrant intellectual community at HKUST, will make a lasting contribution towards solving the major issues that exist in field of finance.

I am very happy that I came to HKUST. The campus is incredibly scenic. In addition, the faculty and staff members here provide great support to students. It is an ideal place to pursue a doctoral degree.

Studying at HKUST has many advantages: living on a beautiful campus and working with a group of great scholars are the two most obvious ones. The rigorous academic training I have received at HKUST means I am now ready to pursue an exciting academic career.

I get to wear many hats at HKUST, each of which is very interesting in its own right. As a student, I learn and appreciate the work of scholars; as a Teaching Assistant, I present and communicate knowledge to keen learners; as a Hall Tutor, I interact with youthful and creative minds; and as a Researcher, I solve problems and hopefully, in due course, create new knowledge.

I very much enjoy and appreciate the academic environment at HKUST. Since the first day of my PhD program, I have been encouraged and given ample opportunities to develop and pursue research projects of my own interests. The research training here is rigorous, and the faculty members are very supportive. I am also grateful for the conference travel allowance provided by the HK PhD Fellowship. It allows me to attend international conferences and exchange ideas with scholars worldwide.
