Like a fertile land, HKUST is resourceful and offers abundant opportunities for all to grow. Because of such convenience and chances given, I can play multiple roles during my research postgraduate studies. That makes my research student life in HKUST exciting and fruitful. There are also research centers and facilities that support my research performance and train me with the soft and hard skills to become an all-rounded researcher. To that, I am especially thankful for the services offered from language center that help tightening the screws in my writing and presentation skills.

I was privileged to be awarded the HK PhD Fellowship. Indeed, the generous scholarship allowed me to further my study without financial worries. Hong Kong, being a Chinese city which runs a Westernized system, is an excellent portal for foreigners like me to learn about and connect with China. It also has many quality universities, rivaling other major education hubs such as Boston and London. And the research environment at HKUST is excellent. Research students can learn not only from experienced professors but also from highly motivated and passionate fellow students.

HKUST's success story is an inspiration to me. HKUST provides me with the resources I need to grow and become a well-rounded person. In my first two years of study at HKUST, I have enjoyed the international exposure provided by the HKUST and attended forums/ conferences in countries such as South Korea, Turkey, and Mainland China. This is a world-class university, so I am being trained to be a world-class student, capable of embracing all sorts of real life challenges after graduation.

HKUST is a good place not only to gain academic knowledge but also to cultivate leadership and entrepreneurial thinking. Also, thanks to the Asian Future Leaders Scheme Program (AFLSP), it allows me to learn about cultures from different Asian countries. My dream to study in Hong Kong would not come true without the AFLSP. I hope that I can contribute to this society with my knowledge acquired here in the future.
