Zac SO

HKUST is a young world-class university, which provides high-quality education to nurture students to be outstanding academics and pillars of society. I am delighted to be one of the members in this family and pursue both my BEng and PhD degrees here. Currently, my research is mainly about soil-plant interaction focusing Chinese medicinal plants. Although it is sometimes challenging, I do enjoy the research process. Through overcoming challenges, I have better equipped myself for future research, which may create greater impacts for the society. My efforts have been recognized by being awarded Hong Kong PhD Fellowship and having papers published in top scientific journals. I am thankful to have strong support from my supervisor and HKUST.
