Eligibility

To be eligible for PG Exchange study at HKUST, you should:

  • Currently be a registered postgraduate student at one of our partner institutions; and
  • Be nominated for the program by your home institution.

 

Application Procedures

Step 1

  • Seek nomination from your home institution

Step 2

  • Consult the appropriate HKUST School/ Program Office for details (e.g. course enrolment, accommodation, scholarship, etc., see above for contact information)

Step 3

Step 4

  • Send your official electronic transcript, testimonial and/or other required documents

Step 5

  • Apply for student visa/ entry permit right after you have accepted the admission offer (Not sure if you need one? Check here)

Step 6

  • Subscribe to the HKUST Compulsory Travel Insurance Plan

Step 7

  • Register as a PG Exchange Student

Student Visa/ Entry Permit

It takes times for the Hong Kong Immigration Department to process a student visa/ entry permit application. Please apply right after you have accepted the admission offer. For short term studies, student visas/entry permits are normally granted for durations not exceeding 180 days.

Insurance Requirements

All non-local PG Visiting Internship Students are required to subscribe to the HKUST Compulsory Travel Insurance Plan. Please do so at least one month before the commencement of the visiting period.
